The Ring-tailed Lemur is perhaps the best-loved, and the most iconic, image of Madagascar.
- No one has a tail like ours.
- We’re so proud of our tails.
- It’s important to keep our tails well-groomed.
- Who needs a muffler with a tail like this?
- Our tails get mixed up when we have a family huddle.
- Each of our tails is unique.
Fabulous photos, Margaret. I have some too as I went to Madagascar to meet up with my daughter at the end of her 12 week placement helping to build a school in a remote village in the south of Madagascar. An amazing experience. She nearly went back but stayed in NZ instead. I wonder how Madagascar is doing re coronavirus?

Thank you, Tricia. Like so many countries, Madagascar was locked down although it hasn’t had many infections. But of course, that’s seriously affecting their tourist industry and the negative knock-on effect of that is the effects on conservation. Our daughter and husband should have been going today for a holiday, organised by Patrick.
