FACT FOR THE DAY:

Did you know that . . . .

. . .  the public are allowed access along the coastal “foreshore”, the intertidal zone, which is generally owned by the Crown, although access to the high tide line (and therefore the foreshore) may be privately owned and restricted. But there is nothing to stop anyone being on the foreshore if they walk round on the beach or swim or canoe from the sea.
