Our last day – and another stormy day after a night of gale force winds which meant the beaches were closed because the sea was too dangerous. So we fought our way against the wind along the cliffs between Caerfai and Porthclais. The sea was being churned up violently. In places, small clumps of sea foam were being blown 100m or more up and over the path and some cliffs were covered in a thick snow-like layer of foam.
- Porthclais harbour was very sheltered
