Bridges in Madagascar
There are many rivers in the plains of north western Madagascar flowing along huge sandy river beds. During the dry season, there is not much water in the rivers. People come to the rivers to wash clothes, bathe, water their cattle and play. The views from the long, low bridges are lovely.

- This bridge in eastern central Madagascar, built entirely of wood with no side barriers, felt quite precarious!
That wooden bridge looks scary!

I took the photos from the train so wasn’t able to try it. I assume the two sides somehow open apart when you start to cross!
