The last day of reflections. This time, it’s in our own little garden pond after a shower of rain during autumn when our Japanese maple was a riot of reds, oranges, golds and yellows. The water lily leaves, which were reflecting the blue sky, cover most of the pond surface but also had splodges of water on them, with their own reflections, creating a really complex picture.
The view of the reflections varied depending on whether I focussed on the actual maple leaves in the reflection (as in the photo above – the reflected maple leaves are much further away than the lily leaves) or on the lily leaves and the surface of the water (as in the four photos below), which blurs the reflection of the maple leaves.
