A sample of my bird photos, in no particular order. I photographed and have identified at least 137 species (a few are yet to be confirmed and/or added), 17 of which are new to my Uganda life-time list of 336 species. However, to put that into perspective, there are currently 1088 species listed as of February 2023, so I have seen only a third of the birds! If you want to see more bird photos from previous visits, go to my Flickr album of Birds of Uganda for more species although I didn’t start taking photos of them until about 20 years ago.

Wonderful photos; excellent for bird identification that can be used by others. Don’t know what jaw-dropping word the Shoebill had for you!! Thank you for sharing so many. What a range from a wide range of habitats across Uganda. You did well to take these given the pressure of your itinerary.

Thank you! The Shoebill is extraordinary isn’t it?!
Hi Margaret Greetings. Thanks for the bird fotos. You have such a big library. It is raining now and Mbarara is very cold. All the best. Alex B Nganwa-Bagumah
