Lord/God/Allah, pour out your Spirit on Uganda today – on all who have faithfully obeyed you and on those who have gone their own way – that justice may prevail on this day of Elections.

God of miracles, be present with those in the fiery furnace and save them; send angels to shut the lions’ mouths; break the chains holding people in bondage; open locked doors and fill the dark places with your light that reveals the truth.

“Not by might nor by power, but by your Spirit, Lord God.”

Make your presence known in special ways to the people of Uganda and guide them into the ways of truth and justice, righteousness and peace, love and humility.

May your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. When your people walk through the valley of the shadow of death, comfort them and give them courage. Restrain the powers of evil and change the hearts of those intent on evil. Fulfil your promises against all the odds and pour out your blessings on Uganda, more than they could even ask for or imagine.

To you, oh Lord, be all the praise, honour and glory. Amen. Let it be so.
